Palawan · 9 nights
Lagoons and Wrecks
Karst lagoons by kayak, then a sunken fleet by tank
El Nido, then Coron
Why this routing
Palawan's north holds two entirely different landscapes within a short hop of each other. El Nido is vertical — limestone towers with lagoons hidden inside them, entered by kayak through gaps that close at high tide. Coron is horizontal and submerged: a Japanese fleet sunk in 1944, now reefed over and diveable without technical certification.
The two halves of northern Palawan: Bacuit Bay's limestone lagoons, then Coron's WWII wreck fleet, sitting in water shallow enough for recreational divers.
