Palawan · Cuyo Archipelago, Sulu Sea
An entire private island in the Sulu Sea, reached by the resort's own aircraft, ringed by its own reef and a seven-kilometre beach.
Aman on a private island
The property
Amanpulo occupies all of Pamalican — a small island surrounded by a coral reef that you can circumnavigate by boat in under an hour. Guests fly in on Aman's own aircraft from Manila, which sets the tone immediately. Casitas are set along the beach or up on the ridge, each with a buggy, and the density is very low. The reef is in genuinely good condition and the turtle nesting programme is active.
Where you sleep
Beach, hillside and treetop casitas, plus multi-bedroom villas with pools. Which one is right depends on the month and who is travelling — that is the first thing we will ask.
