Maldives · Baa Atoll
In the Baa biosphere, with SEA — an underwater restaurant and wine cellar — and the only over-water observatory with a resident astronomer in the Maldives.
Underwater dining and an observatory
The property
Kihavah pairs two unusual things. SEA sits below the waterline with the reef pressed against the glass, and the wine cellar beside it holds a serious list. Above deck, SKY is an observatory with a telescope and a resident 'Sky Guru' who runs stargazing sessions — the Baa Atoll's low light pollution makes it genuinely worthwhile. Hanifaru Bay is close for the manta season.
Where you sleep
Beach and overwater pool villas; multi-bedroom residences. Which one is right depends on the month and who is travelling — that is the first thing we will ask.
