Seychelles · La Passe, La Digue
A hillside garden property on the island where bicycles and ox-carts still outnumber cars, minutes from Anse Source d'Argent.
The best base on La Digue
The property
La Digue is the Seychelles at its slowest — there are almost no cars, and you get around by bicycle. L'Orangeraie is the most polished place to stay on the island, built up a hillside in timber and stone with a hilltop spa reached by a long stair. Anse Source d'Argent, the granite-boulder beach that appears on more posters than any other in the world, is a short ride away, and best visited at low tide early in the morning.
Where you sleep
Garden, hillside and pool villas in timber and stone. Which one is right depends on the month and who is travelling — that is the first thing we will ask.
