Mauritius · Grand Gaube, north coast
Kelly Hoppen's retro-chic rework of a north-coast classic, wrapped around two beaches and a lagoon, with a food line-up that ranges from Peruvian to Creole smokehouse.

The property
Grand Gaube is the LUX* flagship for design: Kelly Hoppen rebuilt it in a warm 1960s-riviera key — terracotta, rattan, banana-leaf green — across a headland with two distinct beaches. The dining is the other reason to come: Peruvian-Argentinian at INTI, a Creole table, the group's Beach Rouge, and Bodrum-style Mediterranean. The north-coast lagoon keeps the water calm year-round.
Where you sleep
Rooms, suites and villas across the headland. Which one is right depends on the month and who is travelling — that is the first thing we will ask.
