All-suite villas, west-coast sunsets

Flic en Flac faces west, which means the swimming is sheltered, the water a degree or two warmer, and the sunsets straight off the beach. Maradiva is entirely villas, each walled and with a private pool, set in gardens rather than in a row along the sand. The Ayurvedic programme here is properly staffed with resident doctors rather than being a spa menu item, and Tamarin Bay — where you can sometimes see wild dolphins in the early morning — is minutes away.
