Sculptural architecture, deep-south water
Vommuli is far enough south that the water is noticeably emptier than the Malé atolls, and the island itself is densely wooded rather than manicured. The buildings are the talking point: the Whale Bar is shaped like a whale shark and cantilevers over the reef, and the Iridium Spa is built in the form of a manta. Butler service is standard in the St. Regis manner, and the house reef is strong.
