A short split stay that shows two sides of the Maldives: a village-like island 25 minutes from the airport with a spa on its own islet, then Baa Atoll, where the resort runs manta, turtle and coral research.
Kuda Huraa is the easy start — near the airport, lush, with a surf programme and a spa reached by dhoni. Landaa Giraavaru, in the Baa Atoll biosphere reserve, is the reason to fly on: its marine team runs coral restoration, manta science and turtle rehabilitation year-round, and guests can join in.
