The world's first underwater spa
Huvafen Fushi was the original Maldives lifestyle resort, and its firsts still define it: the underwater spa — two treatment rooms below the lagoon surface with the reef through the glass — and Vinum, a cellar dug beneath the island holding thousands of bottles. The infinity pool is lit with fibre optics after dark. It is small, adult in register and polished rather than barefoot.
